shabbat @ Hevreh

Shabbat is that wonderful, moment of pause and celebration that comes to the Jewish community each week. At Hevreh, Shabbat is a cornerstone of how we come together as a community. Friday evenings are filled with festive music, thoughtful sermons, and quality community time. We often break bread together at Shabbat meals. If you’re new to the community, it’s a great way to meet other congregants and get involved. Saturday mornings are a time for contemplation, meditation and study.

Kabbalat shabbat Services

All are invited to join Hevreh each Friday at 6pm for our Kabbalat Shabbat Services. Led by our rabbis and artist-in-residence, our lively Reform service is welcoming and musical. Our services often feature congregant reflections and synagogue musicians.

Online access is available to Friday night services through Zoom. To get the Zoom link each week, email us to be added to our emails.

Shabbat Morning Experience

Join Hevreh for a contemplative and engaging Shabbat morning. On weeks when we are not celebrating with a B'nai Mitzvah student, our Shabbat morning experience may include Torah study, singing and/or a full Shabbat morning service. We hope you’ll join us to recharge and say “shabbat shalom” to your fellow Hevreh. â€‹

Creative Beit Midrash

Release your spiritual and intellectual imagination in Hevreh's Creative Beit Midrash. Explore Jewish topics through your medium of choice-visual art, music, dance/movement, or written word. Sessions are for sharing and processing individuals' creative product through nurturing, not critique.

Hevreh's Creative Beit Midrash was launched during the height of the pandemic as a means for our congregation to explore a more creative approach to Torah Study.
