The Triplex welcomes Rabbi Jodie Gordon from Hevreh of Southern Berkshire for a special discussion following a screening of the new film A Real Pain on Thursday, December 12th at 7:30 pm.
From writer, director, and star Jesse Eisenberg (Academy Award-nominee for The Social Network), comes a story of two cousins, David (Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin, Succession), who reunite after the death of their grandmother to tour Poland and visit the home she fled during the Holocaust. After the screening, Rabbi Gordon will discuss the themes of the movie and the ways that grandchildren of the Holocaust are processing intergenerational trauma as they reach adulthood and start families of their own.
