About the Event
What if Jewish theology could be read like an alphabet — one letter, one idea, one invitation at a time? In Living the Letters, Rabbi Dr. Michael Marmur, noted theologian and former Dean of Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion, offers a creative and deeply humane approach to Jewish belief.
Each chapter, framed around a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, opens new pathways into faith, ethics, and the sacred in everyday life. Together, we’ll explore Marmur’s “alphabet of theology,” asking what it means to think Jewishly about God, humanity, and moral responsibility.
Join Rabbi Gordon for a journey through this accessible, thought-provoking work — a study of language, faith, and meaning designed to awaken curiosity and deepen connection to our living tradition. All students can access a copy of Rabbi Marmur’s book for free online.
