About the Event
T’shuvah, understood as repentance, is often discussed but little understood. The traditional Jewish texts on the matter keep things up in the rafters, when for each of us, the concerns about t’shuvah are fiercely personal. Afterall, who among us can say that we have never done wrong? In this lunch n’ learn led by Rabbi Hirsch, we’ll use classic Jewish texts, as well as explore specific understandings of T’shuvah from thinkers like Maimonides, and contemporary interpretations to explore how one actually perform’s t’shuvah. This lunch n’ learn series will be a great way to prepare personally for the High Holy Days, and a way to reframe our relationships with others through a Jewish lens. Remember to bring a kosher-style bag lunch. All are welcome, in person and on Zoom.
